Arno Fischbacher: Mr. Mann, as a coach for entrepreneurs, you see many delicate moments in your clients' daily communication. When is the voice particularly challenged?
Jörg Mann: Mr. Fischbacher, I find this question almost a little difficult to answer. Because the voice is always required when people communicate in conversation and it plays a key role in determining whether the communication goals can be achieved. We use them practically all day long – whether in personal dialogue or on the phone.
As an entrepreneur, good communication and thus the voice is of course essential, especially when dealing with employees and customers, we all know today that the "how" of information is usually more important than the "what", i.e. the content.
If products and services are ok, do tonality, voice and way of speaking still play a role at all?
How "coherent" do entrepreneurs present in your opinion?
Most people are far from exploiting the emotional potential of our voice. The more exposed you are in public – as is the case with every entrepreneur – the more important your vocal expression becomes. In this respect, I can only recommend every entrepreneur to invest in his voice – and thus his ability to persuade. To your question: I see considerable potential here.
