I am immensely happy for the coming summer. Especially for July. From the 13th of this month I will retire. Very far away. I will spend three weeks in a healing camp with spiritual ceremonies, flower baths and fascinating river trips. In the Peruvian Amazon. With my long-time friend Don Pedro, tree shaman and bringer of light from the rainforest! He comes from an old Curandero family. In Peru, curanderos are healers who have the knowledge to help people with important mental and physical concerns with spiritual energies, including magical chants. Don Pedro is a master of healthy singing. He sings to people during spiritual ceremonies with his powerful, melodious soft songs. He sings in Kechua, the language of the Inca peoples. These songs are called Icaros and have been created for generations during medicinal plant diets, some of which last several years, in the rainforest alone. Don Pedro is one of the few masters of the Icaro that still exists in Peru. A real, fascinating and overwhelming privilege to listen to him.
So it is possible to – how could it be otherwise – also about the voice. The magical, healing, of Don Pedro and also about our inner voice, which we can only find when we are in silence. This silence and seclusion offers the extraordinary atmosphere of the Amazon. But we will also incorporate one or the other vocal exercise into our daily routine in the rainforest.
I can hardly do it to be able to immerse themselves in a completely different existence for three weeks. I am convinced that Peru welcomes those who belong there spiritually with very special vibrations and special healing energies for body, mind and soul. We will all return transformed and continue to advance our mission in life with new energies.
